Mediation in Electronic Communications Code & commercial real estate cases

Philip Morris is an RICS accredited mediator, able to host mediation services for clients in dispute and litigation proceedings who wish to try and resolve them without going to court. We operate the Civil Mediation Council (CMC) fixed fee mediation service for the most straightforward cases. The fee structure for this is here:

Amount being claimedFees per partyLength of session
£5,000 or less*£75 + VAT1 hour – telephone/video mediation only
£5,000 or less*£125 + VAT2 hours – telephone/video mediation
£5,000 to £15,000*£320 + VAT3 hours
£15,000 – £50,000£445 + VAT4 hours
Each additional hour is charged at £120+ VAT per party to 6 hours max.

We will help you decide whether the session will be done in person or by telephone/video, although a mediation of 2 hours or less will be done by telephone/video call.

Both parties will need to agree to mediate and it is helpful to have agreed on this before you approach us.

As well as commercial, real estate and communications infrastructure disputes, Philip is able to mediate less complex disputes such as between smaller commercial parties or consumers. Please get in touch with us for a free, no obligation discussion, when we can discuss some of the background to your case and agree whether Philip Morris is the right person to mediate it.

*Please note that if you have a dispute of less than £10,000 you may be offered a free 1 hour telephone mediation service by the Court once you have issued a claim form.  You may also be offered mediation by the Court for claims above £10,000.  There will be a cost to issue a claim form. If you are a consumer and your dispute concerns the sale of goods and services the trader is required to provide you with the name and website address of an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution body.  For more information, click here.
